While there’s an abundance of student apartments to choose from in West Lafayette, finding one that feels like home is not an easy choice. Lucky for you, we’re here to help. On-campus advantages are having easy access to cafes, restaurants, Boba tea, bars and just participating in campus events. Waking up 15mins before class starts and still getting to class on time is a criteria for some students :)
Off-campus advantages are having a quiet, spacious and affordable living. Private studios and one bedroom apartments can often be a few hundred dollars cheaper than shared leases for on-campus units. Parking is also free.

1. Peppermill Village Apartments
Located just blocks away from Purdue Research Park, Peppermill Village is close to bus routes, Payless, Marsh and Aldi supermarkets, and many restaurants. The spacious room features a walk-in closet, a kitchen with a dishwasher, and a balcony or a patio. Residents enjoy the high-speed internet and sports facilities like the basketball and tennis court, gym, and swimming pool. Best for grad students or professionals working at the Purdue Research Park.

If tranquility and convenience matter to you, then Beau Jardin Apartment is the right place for you. With schools, grocery, and public parks nearby, life is easier.

7. The Cottages on Lindberg
Apartment homes are fully furnished with air-conditioning, cable TV, and high-speed internet. They also include an in-house washer dryer and dishwasher. Students may take advantage of the private shuttle to campus and the use of the 24-hour study room, ping pong, Keurig coffee and computers. The Cottages has a unique trash pick-up system. Simply bag up your trash and place it inside the trash collection box by your front door before 6pm.

9. University Crossing Apartments and Townhomes
All apartment units at University Crossing Apartments are unfurnished but equipped with new appliances. With the units, pool, and gym newly remodeled, you are sure to find comfort here. However, some tenants noticed that TV sounds and footsteps are easily heard due to the thin walls. Despite that, they enjoy the fiber optic internet at 200 Mbps, basketball court, and clubhouse with an outdoor area.

10. Franklin Park Apartments
Stylish apartment with wood-look and carpeted floors and central air and heating. Multiple floor plans are offered with each having a dishwasher and washer dryer set. 11. Village West
Easing the commuting pain through a private shuttle to campus, Village West is an ideal place for students. Community offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a study center with complimentary printing, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.
All apartment units are fully furnished with spacious living areas, new kitchen appliances, and wood-style flooring. Heating can get expensive in winter. Their all-in-one electric, internet and utilities fee is one the best value choices in West Lafayette

Each apartment unit at Hilltop has a kitchenette, bookshelf, bed, and dresser. There are study lounges, a laundry room in every basement, and an activity room with a TV and VCR. Some rooms are air-conditioned. Apartment is ran by Purdue RA’s. Many PHDs and graduate students choose to live here.

14. Morris Rentals

Happy medium between location, cost and amenities. Restaurants are just downstairs. Food options even include Vietnamese Pho, Indian food and a Korean restaurant. Major bus routes run by the building. Rent is very reasonable compared to surrounding apartments.

21. Alight (previously The Avenue South)
It used to be called The Avenue. The apartment is highly affordable and a convenient choice for off-campus housing as you can utilize the convenient private bus service that picks you up from the front office and drops you off right on campus. Right across the street is Meijer supermarket and a Korean supermarket Hana Market. For students who prefer a quiet environment, this is for you. Unfortunately, if you have an active social life, this may not be the best option due to distance from the bars.
